With roots in audio advertising, and always with an eye on what is new, our Chief Creative Officer, Michael Rappaport, had an epiphany. We already had begun producing video SiteSpokesPerson productions for the web as well as corporate videos; why not develop a monthly series of newsy and informative video productions for national trade associations? I am cautious by nature, but Michael has an innate ability to churn out ideas. We sat and filtered through the idea together and slowly leveraged our relationship with the National Funeral Directors Association, a group that we have worked with for over a decade. We proposed production of a monthly video show with the working title: The Funeral Business Channel (NFDA-TV).
The NFDA loved the idea and the concept blossomed from there. With creative story ideas designed to help the average funeral director do more business more effectively, NFDA-TV gives them insight into what their peers are doing; the show has grown and is now reaching thousands of viewers each month.
Since then, we have developed four more shows including one for the American Optometric Association. The shows are free to the association and we actually rebate a portion of the advertising revenue. With convergence between media, companies large and small are realizing the reach and benefit of online video. We look forward to adding many more associations this year, and would love to discuss a show with you!
