Running a business is tough work, but you know that. Sometimes you need to step away from it all to find the clarity you need to come up with the truly brilliant ideas….

It was on an Australian Koala Hunt in Kakadu National Park that the idea of a rough-tough, competitively-priced, digital on-hold player materialized. Ironically, our tour guide, Kangaroo Bill Magoo, had a background in electronics, and while talking shop, shared his passion for audio engineering. Bill was confident that, with the available components, a reliable, high-quality digital player could be built. After the day's tour was through and we had enjoyed a hearty Australian specialty, koala with potatoes, the true adventure began.

Bill took us to his lair: a hobble deep in the seedy, Sydney underground. It was where we were first introduced to The DIGITAL DINGO! He was black, he was red, he was shiny, and he appeared ready to interface with any phone system.... We stood back, stunned at this marvel Kangaroo Bill had created.

Back home, we had been using a variety of playback units for our award winning productions, and the fact remained, many digital units were available. Over the years we shopped, we tested; we put those "so-called" professional grade units to the test. NONE lived up to our standards. We needed to build our own unit, and one year after our enlightening trip to the Outback, the Australian-engineered, American-made, digital unit entered production. Introducing the DIGITAL DINGO!
