Life has a way of taking twists and turns. In September 2009, I was given a second opportunity for life— I received a life saving liver transplant. The months leading up to the transplant were very trying and challenging, but with faith, the support of so many, and a positive mental outlook, I am proud to say, I am a transplant survivor. My liver was donated to me by an organ donor. I encourage those who are interested to become an organ donor, and as my license plate says, “Donate Organs, Pass it On.”
